- Faith in a powerful God (vv 1- 2)
- Whoever trust in the Most High will find protection
- God is a place of safety of refuge
- He is a place of protection from our enemy
- Nothing can come to us unless it comes through God's hand first

- Job had a high trust factor in God (Job 13:15)
- We must also have a high trust factor in God
- God is in control and anything that happens to us is because God allows it to happen
- Whatever he allows in our lives is by divine appointment (Romans 8:28)
- We don't know why we go through things
- The title of God, Most High, stresses his power as a sovereign ruler of the world
- We can expect to find God's strength and protection and can expect to draw closer to God under his divine care
- Sometimes God will wound us in order to carry us and to have the relationship that he desires to have with us
- In our weakness, God's strength is made perfect
- Favor from a Sovereign God (vv 3-13)
- God's sovereign love extends to every aspect of our life
- We don't know what God has for us, but we do know that if we are saved and living for the Lord, God shows us favor
- It's because of god's grace that we are here and because of his grace he shows us favor
- God will cover and protect us under his care
- As long as we are living the way that we should be living for God, then we don't have anything to worry about
- Sometimes we have to get in a situation where we can see him differently and god shows us favor
- God will deliver us from harm that is like a life-threatening plague
- Peace is not the absence of trouble, but the presence of a supernatural calm in the midst of trouble in which God studies and satisfies our hearts
- It is God that brings us peace
- God's promise of protection (vv 14 - 16)
- We can call upon the Lord and he will answer
- We serve a God that is right on time
- The Lord promises to rescue us from danger
- We have God's protection
- We don't have to fear evil for god is with us (Psalm 23:4)
