Our Belief Statements

We believe:

  • that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that is the only infallible rule of faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16; Matthew 4:4).

  • that God is triune.  There are three eternal, co-equal, and divine persons in the Godhead: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (1 John 4:13-15; Ephesians 1:3-14).

  • in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ: that He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary (John 1:1-3; Matthew 1:18-25).

  • that the only way to be saved is by repentance toward God and faith in the blood sacrifice, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ the Son of God (John 3:16; Romans 10:9-13).

  • in the eternal security of the saints (Ephesians 1:13-14, 2:8-9).

  • that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended into Heaven and is now seated at the right hand of the Father.  He is the only mediator between God and Man (Hebrews 10:12; 1 Timothy 2:5-6).

  • that the Church, the body of Christ, began with the descent of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost, and that person who accept Jesus Christ as their personal savior become members of the body of Christ and are indwelt by the Holy Spirit (Acts 2).

  • that the gospel commission is for the Church, that baptism in water and the Lord's Supper are divine ordinances to be observed by saints in this age (Matthew 28:18-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26).
