- Take no thought for tomorrow for God knows what tomorrow brings
- We must not care for tomorrow nor the events of it
- What can God not do for us, He has given us life
- We may leave it to God to give us food and clothes
- Seek first the kingdom of God

- The Holy Spirit convicts us of the sin that is in us and takes us from the world
- There is much that we in the church need to learn about anxiety
- There are strategies for coping with anxiety in our daily lives
Key Sermon Points:
1. We worry about things over which we have no control
- There are some things that are simply beyond our control
- Learning to be content
- The patience to accept the things we can not change and the wisdom to know the difference
2. We worry about things that do not really matter
- Many of the things we care about are simply not worth the effort
- We generate worry for nothing
- Jesus says we can conquer worry over the unimportant by learning to seek first the kingdom of God
3. We worry about things that have not yet happened
- Even when we know something is going to happen our fear and dread of it is almost always worse than the thing itself
- We need to understand what worry does to us
- Christ's answer is to live one day at a time
- Manage today and let tomorrow take care of itself (Matthew 6:34)
4. We worry about things of legitimate concerns
- As the text suggests, there are some challenges of life that are of real substance
- There are the physical necessities of food, clothing, and shelter
- There are difficult circumstances that can threaten us
- Jesus says even these things are not worthy of our worry because they are things God is perfectly willing and able to supply
- God is faithful to supply all of our needs not some of them
- He promises that if we seek first His kingdom those needs he will supply
5. Jesus gives us the key
- Seeking God should be our first priority
- Nothing and no one should come before Him
- He is a jealous God
- When we get our relationships in order the way God told us they will work out
- When we place God first all other things will fall in their respective order
- God demonstrates his own love to us in that while we were yet sinners Jesus died for us
- We rejoice in our God through our Lord Jesus Christ
- We seek God by accepting Jesus into our hearts
- Constant prayer, studying the word, being a witness and allowing God to use us is seeking God (Acts 1:8)
- We need to daily seek the Lord
- There is a benefit when we seek the kingdom and trust the Lord
- We must seek Him to have a closer relationship with the Lord
- You will find joy, healing, and Jesus in God's kingdom
- When we get to the kingdom everything will be alright
- Seek God first and His righteousness
- When we are seeking his kingdom everything will be alright
- God wants to be first
- When we put Him first we get the abundant blessing
- He promised He would abundantly bless us
- God is an awesome God
